Sea Adventures
Perhaps one of the most exciting and coolest adventures anyone can have is taking a cruise. The ship itself is packed full of incredible and endless activities. Each cruise liner has their own specific activities, but by and large, they are typically the same. You can usually expect quite a few pools to take in the sun as you sail across the ocean or sea. They also have hot tubs for those who prefer a warmer temperature and the joys of a good jet against an aching back or feet. Whether you have a family or are taking a romantic getaway, a cruise ship is readily available to offer places for just children and just for adults.
Besides the ship, there are the gorgeous islands and cities that they travel to. Each island has its own activities and events that tourists can delight in. Clearly, taking a cruise is perfect for those who want to experience a new culture all while having the time of their lives. Unfortunately, cruises are not always the most affordable of adventures. Luckily, just like with any amusement park or resort, they have off-seasons.
With those off-seasons, potential tourists can gobble up the cut in prices for a cruise. By saving that money, they can enjoy some of the other indulgent activities that the cruise has to offer or perhaps even have enough leftover to take another cruise shortly after. Regardless of how you choose to spend the extra money you saved, the important thing is that you were able to save money on a cruise.

1. Carribean Adventures
There are a ton of different cruise liners that make their way down to the scenic Caribbean islands. It doesn’t hurt to examine one cruise liner against another in regards to price, but you’ll typically find that cruises are less expensive in the months of September through early January. This does not, of course, count in the holidays which are one of the more expensive times to book a cruise. The off-season primarily rests around the colder months as well as the months in which families are typically at work and children are in school.
Cruises can also be found to be cheaper during the months of April, March, and May due to the slightly stormier season. Be advised, however, that booking a cruise during these months might result in a cancellation if there is a hurricane or other bad weather that puts the cruise at risk. While this certainly isn’t always the case, the opportunity is still there.
2. Alaskan Adventures
If instead of the usual Caribbean cruise you want to go somewhere else, then you may want to consider a cruise to Alaska. Perhaps one of the wildest states in the United States, Alaska has incredible sights to behold. Their cruise liners are also packed full of some of the same activities that you might expect on a cruise liner headed for the Caribbean. These cruises also typically last a month or five weeks, so you had best be prepared for a long and explorative cruise.
The best time to take a cruise to Alaska is right when their season opens. The first week of May is typically the cheapest time to take a cruise there. This is largely due to the fact that the atmosphere is still warming. Sometimes, it’s possible to book a cruise for just $100 a day. Considering the price of other cruises, that’s an incredible saving.
3. Europe
For those looking to explore the culture-laced cruise experience of Europe, then you’re going to find seasons similar to that of the Caribbean cruises. European cruisers are the busiest during the summer season when children are out of school and families can take off work more easily. As such, if you’re interested in taking a cruise around Europe, then you should book your cruise either in the late spring or early autumn months. These are areas in which the temperatures are still wonderful but the crowd is a lot thinner. Prices reflect that and are usually lower than they would be during the on-season months.
Book Late
Another aspect you might want to consider is waiting to book to the last second. Prices drop as the cruise departure date arrives. Gamble a little and you might just win out.
